Isbaneteknikk in Czech Republic

E-mail Print
In week 22 Isbaneteknikk was participating in the Czech ice rink conference in Silesia in south-east Czech Republic - on the border with Poland.

Representatives from ca. 40 Indoor skating rinks were present at the conference which was held at the ČEZ Arena - home of "Vitkovice Steelers - in Ostrava is the Czech Republic's third largest city.

Isbaneteknikk showed a brand new Olympia Millennium equipped with LVR laser system automastisk adjustment of the knife and thus control of the ice. The interest was high for both the Mac and for JetIce icepaint which is a little known concept in the Czech Republic. The presentation of Isbaneteknikk was held at the Czech of our local sales representative Miroslav Hornich, helped by our general manager Geir Atle Svartangen as page commentary.

New Logo!

We are now about to retire the logo we have used since the start of Isbaneteknikk AS three years ago. The new logo is simpler and more readable, we find, the colors are "Blue Line" and "Redline" and the frame represents a hockey dasher board. Our name is still Isbaneteknikk but we have shortened it to Isbat in the logo - partly because Isbaneteknikk probably was somewhat difficult to pronounce and spell for our foreign customers.
Yet we are authorized dealer of Olympia and Icebear in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania and the Balkans except Greece. We actually sold our first Icebear Electric to Prague for almost 2 years ago, and we have sold more Olympia Millennium of Hungary and delivered a Millennium of Brasov in Romania for some months ago.

Of course sounds we both names, whether you call us one or the other!

New IceBears to Stavanger

E-mail Print

We have entered into an agreement to deliver 2. Olympia IceBear to Sørmarka multipurpose hall in Stavanger, and a BOSS curling scraper, the machines will be delivered in August 2010.

New Stavanger Icehall has also entered into an agreement for the delivery of two IceBear for the opening, atumn 2011. It is also added an option to purchase up to 2 IceBears to Stavanger Oilers new ice rink in 2012. The three venues see benefits of having the same type of equipment for several reasons - including the purchase of machinery, spare parts and service. Moreover, one can easily rotate the crew, since everyone will get the same training. We congratulate and see us very happy with that Stavanger soon get the biggest "stock" of IceBears in Norway!

Reform-Werke

E-mail Print

In late February, Isbaneteknikk went on a study trip to the Reform-Werke in Wels, Austria, together with the Norwegian importer Østerbø machine and some interested municipal customers.

Besides a presentation and review of the Reform’s model program, that is comprehensive, we had a guided tour of the factory. Most parts are cut, welded and machined in Reforms own factory, which is very large and modern, with lots of automatic turning-, welding-, and milling robots.

The highlight of the day was test driving all of Reform’s 4-wheel drive products in the factory’s own test track.

Tool carriers in many varieties from Metrac-series was available for testdriving, from the smallest G3 with standard 4-wheel drive and gearbox to the H7X with hydrostatic drive and 4-wheel swivel that can be put in special Crab execution mode and run ”sideways” in the slopes. In addition, of course, the Mounty 100 and “Multi” offroad – wehicle. For those who were not used to drive these kinds of machines, there were lots of unfamiliar buttons, levers gears and steering modes to choose from. But this turned quickly, and after a while they were able to drive sideways over the ridgeslope without any fear – it was impossible to tip over in this machine. To get in climb mode you have to be in 45 degrees, and here it was “only” 30. Even with a very front – mounted cutting deck on the Metrac H7X you could drive over both “Bone shaker terrain” and “rocks” with great comfort – just by pressing a button that activated a hydraulic “anti recall system” with gas dampers. In short – stunning!
